Welcome to the Surface & Interface Engineering of Polymer Membranes !

Research Direction

The surface & interface engineering of polymer membranes (SIEPM) group in Zhejiang University was created by Prof. Zhi-Kang Xu in 2001. In present, the group consists of 2 professors (Zhi-Kang Xu and Ling-Shu Wan), 3 researchers of the “Hundred-Talent Program” (Chao Zhang, Hong-Qing Liang and Hao-Cheng Yang), 1 associate professor (Xiao-Jin Huang), 4 postdoctoral fellows and 1 scientific secretary, more than 20 doctoral and graduate students located in Zijingang Campus, (rooms 201-202, 207, 208, 209-210, and 211-212 in Hetongyuan Polymer Building 1, room 210 in Hetongyuan Polymer Building 2, rooms A909, A924 in Hainanyuan chemistry building A) and Haining International Campus (rooms 205, 207, and 209 in the International Research Center for Functional Polymers-2c). The research group has long interest in the surface and interface engineering of polymer membrane materials for water treatment. The research interests are listed as follows: [1] Polymer membrane via phase separation; [2] Composite nanofiltration membrane via interface polymerization; [3] Membrane process and surface/interface engineering; [4] Biomimetic modification and functionalization of membrane; [5] Well-ordered porous membrane; and [6] Functional and degradable polymer materials.
