Surface engineering of membranes
Membrane separation technology, as a high precision, high efficiency, low energy consumption and pollution-free separation and purification means, plays a vital role in human life and industrial production. On the basis of existing polymer films, our team is devoted to the development of polymer membrane surface interface engineering method. By accurately constructing the surface structure of specific membrane, the surface properties of the membrane can be effectively controlled to improve the separation performance and service performance of the membrane in the application process. On the one hand, we have developed the surface modification technology including membrane surface light grafting and glycosylation, bionic deposition of mussels, biomimetic mineralization and nanomaterial stacking, which can not only effectively control membrane pollution, but also can be applied to high efficiency oil and water separation and membrane distillation. On the other hand, we develop the functional active layer, such as controlled co deposition, controlled interfacial polymerization, catalytic functionalization and enzyme immobilization, which can be used to prepare nano porous selective separation layer and realize photocatalytic or biocatalytic function, which can be used in high performance nanofiltration process, membrane reactor and other more rich functional membranes.
